The new METTLER TOLEDO UMX2 Automated S Microbalance is a completely new solution for weighing delicate tubular samples. Such samples, like sticks, springs, tungsten wires or stents require highest weighing precision but unfortunately were difficult to handle. The new Automatic-S Microbalances are the solution for such delicate samples. After placing the sample onto the loading position the sample is weighed in an automated process. Inaccuracies or handling errors can thereby avoided. The principle is quite easy. After placing the sample onto the sample lift at the loading position. The sample is moved into the weighing chamber, while the door is automatically closed. After measuring the zero weight the sample is automatically placed onto the weighing pan for weight determination. After the weighing process is finished, the sample is brought back to the loading position for reloading. This automated weighing process provides a hands-free performing of the weighing process.
